The sand is made by Tiny Friends Farm in Hadleigh, Suffolk, and is soft and kind enough for pets with sensitive skin.

The 1kg pack is essential for chinchillas and a lovely treat for degus, gerbils and hamsters. Chinchillas enjoy a sand bath every day, while hamsters, gerbils and degus prefer to bathe two or three times a week.

How to use:
Put 2.5cm (1″) of Tiny Friends Farm Bathing Sand in a high-sided tray. Chinchillas will enjoy a sand bath every day, while hamsters, gerbils and degus prefer to bathe two or three times a week. Only let your pet bathe for 10–20 minutes at a time, to help prevent dry skin. Remove soiled sand straight away and change the sand at least once a week.
