Essential Highland Living 12kg
£64.99
Made with 81% turkey, Aberdeen Angus beef, wild game birds, egg and salmon, 43% of it fresh. This is the same recipe and kibble as Highland Living, in a 12kg bag for working and sporting dogs. It is inspired by the Scottish Highlands and starts with fresh free-range turkey, fresh Scottish salmon and Aberdeen Angus beef from British farms and fisheries. These come from the same food chain as ingredients intended for human consumption, are kept chilled, and reach the British kitchen in under 72 hours.
Wild quail, pigeon, pheasant and guinea fowl add variety. Whole eggs add highly digestible protein with a high biological value. The recipe is naturally grain-free, contains no chicken protein, and is finished with a blend of fresh berries and herbs. It suits adult dogs with moderate activity levels.
Salmon, linseed and salmon oil provide all three sources of omega-3 (ALA, EPA and DHA), which support healthy skin, a glossy coat and cognitive function. Glucosamine, chondroitin and MSM are included for joint support.
How it’s made
- Slow-cooked at a maximum of 82°C to help protect proteins, nutrients and natural flavour.
- Finished with FreshGravy, made from the meat’s own oils, which adds flavour and nutrients and helps protect the kibble from oxidation.
- Every delivery is tested for Salmonella, and samples are taken from raw ingredients and finished kibble throughout production.
- Naturally preserved with rosemary extract.
- Not tested on animals.

Storage and best before
Store in a cool, dry place (5-18°C), away from direct sunlight, in an airtight container. The best-before date, time and unique production number are printed at the top of the bag.
Introducing ESSENTIALS
Switch over gradually across 4-7 days, or start straight away. Some extra wind and slightly softer stools are normal in the first week while your dog adjusts to the new diet.
The BOF principle (Behavioural Optimizing Food)
The recipe follows a “natural diet” approach. The high fresh-meat content, low cooking temperature, berries, seeds and herbs, and the kibble size are all designed to encourage chewing rather than swallowing whole.
